The Torch Run relay culminates in the host-city for the State Summer Games. During the Final Leg, law enforcement will carry the Flame of Hope the last mile to the Opening Ceremonies of the Games.
The Circle of Honor is an integral part of the Opening Ceremonies. This is a great representation of law enforcement’s dedication and support of Special Olympics Montana athletes. Special Olympics Montana athlete-of-the-year, accompanied by law enforcement, carry the Flame of Hope into the arena, igniting the cauldron signifying the beginning of the games.
