The Special Olympics office building in Great Falls now provides a splash of color for folks of downtown. SOMT’s Great Falls building was one of nine new murals installed in mid-August for ArtsFest Montana. 

Chicago artist Max Sansing said his art emphasizes the emotional and spiritual transaction between athletes and volunteers. Fitting for SOMT is a flame that Sansing utilizes in much of his artwork. He believes it represents the endurance of humanity.

“I wanted to create an image that was not only representative of sports, but people.”

The running flame also contains bits of Montana including the skyline and Bitterroot flower.
