Yellowstone Valley Area Spring Games – PART TWO

Billings is hosting the Yellowstone Valley Area Special Olympics Games, which kicks off at Lockwood High School on April 26th. Opening ceremonies with local law enforcement representatives and other community partners begin at 9:30 a.m.  Approximately 400 athletes and Unified Partners will be competing in track & field, swimming, cycling, soccer, bocce, gymnastics, and golf. These athletes have been training for at least 2 months prior to this event and are ready to show their stuff. Area students and families are expected to turn out in force, many wearing school colors or custom t-shirts to support their favorite athletes.

• Track Events:         10:00 – 2:00
• Field Events:        10:15 – 11:45
• MATP:         10:30 – 11:00
• Dinner/Dance (Billings Hotel & Convention Center)  6:00 – 9:00
Saturday, April 27th
• Cycling (Sprints)  Daylis/Wendy’s Stadium  9:00 – 11:00
• Swimming   MSUB     12:30 – 3:00
Sunday, April 28th
• Soccer Skills:   Daylis/Wendy’s Stadium  9:00 – 11:00
   (Skills and Team Play *)
• Bocce    Daylis/Wendy’s Stadium  12:00 – 5:00
   (Traditional and Unified Doubles)
Teams Participating – Billings Adults, Billings Schools, Billings Allstars, Casey’s Dream, Red Lodge, Lockwood, Independent Schools, Shepherd, Joliet Schools, Special K Ranch and Miles City.
