Get in the Game!

With 13 sports to choose from, athletes can train for many different skills and sports. Enrolling in Special Olympics means joining a family of more than 4.2 million Special Olympics athletes worldwide. Athletes will enjoy the best physical training and competition available to such special individuals.

 

Special Olympics provides opportunities to meet new people, make friends, travel, and enjoy various social events with other athletes and volunteers.  Through Special Olympics Montana, athletes gain self-esteem, discipline, and courage, which carry over to all other aspects of their lives, including school, home, and the workplace.

 

Follow the steps below to get in the game today!

STEP 1-

Fill out the athlete interest form below or contact our office at (406) 315-5327.

STEP 2-

Complete all the necessary paperwork. 

STEP 3-

Get ready to compete! After you complete the athlete interest form or contact our office, our staff will be in touch with local programs and get you connected with your local volunteer team leader. Before being able to start all paperwork must be completed. 

Athlete Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in Special Olympics Montana, you must be at least 8 years old and identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following conditions: intellectual disabilities, cognitive delays as measured by formal assessment, or significant learning or vocational problems due to cognitive delay that requires or have required specially designed instruction.

 

NOTE: Persons with functional limitations based solely on a physical, behavioral, emotional, specific learning disability or sensory disability are not eligible.

 

In order to participate in Special Olympics Montana’s sports programming, all athletes and unified partners/teammates must submit the required paperwork.
