FINAL LEG

Join law enforcement officers as they carry the Flame of Hope during the Final Leg to the Opening Ceremonies of the State Summer Games.  The Final Leg will run approximately 1 mile from the Great Falls Police Department to the Four Seasons Arena.  Officers may also enter their agency vehicle in the Final Leg.  Please wear your long-sleeve Runner Shirt if available.  Showers will be provided at the Four Seasons Arena.

CIRCLE OF HONOR

The Circle of Honor is an integral part of the Opening Ceremonies.  It is a great representation of law enforcement’s dedication and support of Special Olympics Montana athletes.  The Circle of Honor will be in full-dress attire and will form a circle in the middle of the arena for the presentation of the Torch, representing their position as Guardians of the Flame.  Special Olympics Montana Athlete of the Year and law enforcement will carry the Flame of Hope into the arena, igniting the cauldron signifying the beginning of the Games.  

LAW ENFORCEMENT DISPLAY

Bring your law enforcement vehicle to the Opening Ceremonies and proudly display your agency vehicle during the Parade of Athletes south of the Four Seasons Arena.  Then cheer the athletes on as they proceed to Opening Ceremonies.  Parking will be available for those vehicles in the Final Leg.

LETR RECEPTION

The Torch Run Reception will be held at Chili's Restaurant immediately after Opening Ceremonies.  The reception is open to all law enforcement volunteers, family, & friends.  There will be delicious food and great door prizes (must be present to win).  There is NO cost to attend.

LODGING INFORMATION

Please make your room reservations with Holiday Inn Express by April 28, 2008 at (406) 455-1000.  When calling, ask for the Law Enforcement Torch Run room rate.  Sleeping rooms may not be available until 3:00pm.  Room rate is $70 + tax per night/single and $85 + tax per night/double.
