A Note from Terri Sappington, Law Enforcement Torch Run Coordinator

Sanders County Sheriff's Office Deputy, Dave Hedley was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, which is very aggressive and has a low survival rate. Many of you know Dave through his extensive work with the Montana Torch Run and Special Olympics Montana.

Dave and Holly have established a link for communication and updates at http://caringbridge.org/visit/davehedley.

Dave's wife, Holly states "Dave needs three things right now - Prayers, Platelets and Peace."

Prayers - keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he fights this battle.

Platelets - consider donating blood/platelets through the American Red Cross. Visit www. redcrossblood.org to find a blood drive in your area. Cards are available through Red Cross to send to Dave and his family notifying them that you have donated on their behalf.

Peace - Dave is fighting this head-on. Cards may be sent to Sanders County Sheriff's Office or Thompson Falls City Hall. Please no flowers or plants.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dave and his family.
