2010 State Summer Games
Call to Action
MSU’s Bobcat Stadium Corporate Room
Thursday, March 11th. at 10am
(Bozeman, March 5, 2010) An inspiring “Call to Action” led by local Special Olympics Montana Athletes and Unified® Partners promises to rock MSU’s Bobcat Stadium Corporate Room on Thursday, March 11th. The event kicks off at 10am, peaking with an emotionally charged address to the community aimed to inspire volunteers vital to the success of the upcoming Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games 2010.
The press conference highlights the exciting events surrounding the games that are unifying the Bozeman community, including the Spread the Word to End the Word campaign and Bozeman Schools Project Unify day. The 2010 marketing campaign’s powerful logo and theme, specifically developed for the Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games 2010, will also be revealed.
Several interview opportunities exist to talk with highly enthusiastic Special Olympics athletes, Unified® Partners and volunteers as well as guest speakers including Bob Norbie, the dedicated and charismatic President and CEO of Special Olympics Montana.
About the 2010 Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games
Over Over 1,000 athletes and 450 coaches from 75 teams will gather in Bozeman to compete in fourteen different sports over a three-day period May 12-14, 2010. Competitions in the games are varied and include athletics (track & field), bowling, equestrian, bocce, gymnastics, cycling, golf, powerlifting, soccer, aquatics, triathlon, horseshoe pitching and kayaking. Additionally, motor activities training for lower functioning athletes will be offered in conjunction with the Special Olympics all-inclusive participation mission.
