A letter from the President and CEO of Special Olympics Montana

To Our Special Olympics Montana Family of Friends:

As part of the Special Olympics Montana family, I thought you would want to know that Hal Sheets – a dear friend, volunteer and parent of Billings athlete Kerrie Sheets – passed away suddenly on July 13.  Hal and the entire Sheets family have been intimately involved with Special Olympics Montana for many years.  Hal’s quiet, unassuming and generous support of Kerrie and her teammates has enabled many athletes to train, learn and grow in their abilities and self-confidence.  Hal modeled the kind of genuine love and support we all were inspired by and aspire to become as we create a world of acceptance, respect and inclusion.

For your information, Hal’s funeral service is scheduled for this Saturday, July 18, 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Billings.  The address is: 1241 Crawford Drive.  The church phone is: 406-259-5017.
