State Sumer Games 2009
(Bozeman, Montana) Come celebrate the human spirit! Special Olympics Montana, a 39 year-old movement that enables children and adults with intellectual disabilities to train for life through sports, will hold the 2009 State Summer Games in Bozeman May 13-15. This year’s theme is Live a Little Louder.
2009 marks the first year of a three-year commitment to the city of Bozeman. 1,000 athletes and 450 coaches from 72 teams will gather in Bozeman to compete in fourteen Olympic-type sports over a three-day period. Competitions will include athletics (track & field), bowling, equestrian, bocce, gymnastics, cycling, golf, powerlifting, soccer, aquatics, triathlon, horseshoe pitching and kayaking. In addition, motor activities training for lower functioning individuals will also be offered. On an annual basis, more than 1,500 local volunteers will be involved organizing and hosting the Games with a $1 million impact to the community.

Wednesday, May 13, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
at the MSU Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

Charley Jenkins, a finalist on NBC's Nashville Star, will be performing with his 7-piece band. To get acquainted with this rising country western performer’s music visit www.charleyjenkins.com.
In addition to Charley Jenkins, the Highstreet Band (www.highstband.com) will be performing lively jazz and swing music in their colorful zoot suits.
It will be an inspiring evening of free family entertainment as we celebrate the human spirit with 1,000 Special Olympics Montana athletes.
