Quotas are Announced for
World Winter Games 2009
2009 World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho, February 6 - 13
Team USA has notified Special Olympics Montana that the following quota is approved:
Alpine Skiing – 1 male, 1 female
Cross Country Skiing – 1 female
Snowshoe – 1 male
In order to be eligible to attend, an athlete must receive a gold medal on the 2008 State Winter Games. Nomination forms will be sent out shortly thereafter. Athletes who are selected would be required to attend the Team USA training camp in Colorado, December 3-7, 2008.
Also, Team USA is now taking applications for Assistant Coach.. If you are interested in being an assistant coach, please contact the state office. Deadline for submission to the State Office is February 20, 2008.
The application packet, job description and job requirements can be emailed to any interested coach by contacting Risë Pelloni at the State Office at rpelloni@somt.org.
