Special Olympics Montana
Board of
Directors Seats Four New Members
(Great
Falls,
MT
– May 1, 2007)
Special Olympics Montana, a 37 year-old statewide
organization that provides year-round sports training and
competition to more than 2,000 individuals with intellectual
disabilities across the state, wishes to announce that the
Board of Directors has seated four new members in 2007.
Kerrie
Sheets is a
Special Olympics Montana athlete and Global Messenger.
Kerrie first became a Special Olympics athlete in
MilesCityin 1986.She
participated in the
Helenaprogram during high school and currently participates in the
Billings Adult program. Kerrie has been chosen to compete in two
International Special Olympics Games – at Notre Dame in
1987 and at
Yale University in 1995. She
also attended the first National Games in 2006, held in
Ames, Iowa. As a
Global Messenger, Kerri has received training in public
speaking and leadership skills. Kerri works full-time for Albertson’s Foods in
Billings and volunteers for the Eagle Mount Ski Program on weekends.
Greg
Pinski is a partner in Conner, Shannon & Pinski,
PLLP in
Great Falls. As a trial
lawyer, Greg specializes in cases involving products
liability, wrongful death, commercial disputes, trade
secrets and employment disputes. He was previously an associate with Gray, Plant,
Mooty, Mooty & Bennett, P.A., and taught as an adjunct
faculty member at the University of Minnesota Law School, as
a Legal Writing Instructor. Greg earned a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political
Science and Communications and a J.D., with distinction,
from the
University
of
North Dakota.
Dean
Nelson is a First Vice President/Financial Consultant
for RBC Dain Rauscher in the
Great Falls, MT branch. He has
also worked as a financial consultant with Piper Jaffray,
Inc., and previously worked in the banking industry in North Dakota
and
Montana for approximately 20 years. Dean has a Bachelor of Education degree from
the University
of North Dakota
and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast
Banking School
at the
University
of Washington.In addition he
has completed coursework at the Wharton School of Business
to be designated a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
He currently is pursuing certification at the
Wharton School as a certified financial consultant to foundations and
endowments of non-profit organizations.
John Etchart is a partner of The Gallatin Group, a government
relations, public affairs, and strategic communications
consulting firm with offices in the four Northwestern states
and
Washington, DC. Etchart currently manages the
Helena
,Montanaoffice of the Gallatin Group, which he established in March
2001. A native
of the Northeastern part of the state and a member of one of
Montana’s oldest ranching families, Etchart is a graduate
of Carroll College
in
Helenaand has a Master’s Degree from Montana State
University-Billings.
