Family
Leadership & Support Summit

Special Olympics is seeking applications from Special
Olympics family members to participate in the first-ever
International Family Leadership & Support Summit, to be
held in conjunction with the 2007 Special Olympics World
Summer Games in Shanghai, China, 2-11 October 2007.
Candidates will be selected by Special Olympics from a
competitive pool of applicants; five family members will be
selected from each of the seven Special Olympics regions.
Delegates will receive training on all components of
Special Olympics, propose regional family plans for Special
Olympics family support and activation, interact with other
Special Olympics family members, elect new Global Family
Leaders, and build foundations to enrich Special Olympics.
Delegates to the Summit must be Special Olympics family
members who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills
and unwavering dedication to Special Olympics and the
athletes it serves.
