First Annual
Montana Sports Legends
Dinner & Auction
To benefit Special Olympics Montana
– Saturday, October 3, 2009 –
Hilton Garden Inn, Missoula
The First Annual Montana Sports Legends Dinner and Auction event held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Missoula on October 3, 2009 was a great success! UM coaches, UM hall of fame pros, celebrities and sports figures representing football, basketball, hockey, rodeo and more were on hand to mingle with the guests - while Ollie, Slash and Monte entertained. The UM cheer squad and dance team members modeled jewelry, sold raffle tickets and mingled with the crowd! The room was packed - dinner was delicious (with a surprise sports-themed dessert), and the auction was lively!
The real stars of the evening were our Special Olympic athletes, who received a warm welcome, cheers and standing ovations when they shared their stories and passion for the opportunity that Special Olympics provides to them in enriching their lives.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported this event! Our premiere sponsor, First Interstate Bank, received a special plaque for their continued generous support. Hats off to all those who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen!
Stay posted for the announcement of the Second Annual event!
