Mission
Special
Olympics Montana is a nonprofit organization designed to provide
year-round, statewide programs of physical fitness, sports training
and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual
disabilities and closely related developmental disabilities.
Vision
Special Olympics Montana will fully implement the Special
Olympics Mission and will be the "charity of choice"
in Montana, which is financially stable, increasingly endowed
and served by a strong, well-trained volunteer force.
Service
Special Olympics Montana has been serving athletes with intellectual
disabilities since 1970.Nearly 2,200 athletes and 100 Unified
Sports (R) partners participate in 14 Olympic-type sports
throughout the year. The program is served by nearly 4,000 volunteers
and 104 programs serving 119 Montana communities.
Your Support is Needed
Special Olympics Montana receives no federal or state funding,
nor it is an agency of the United Way or recipient of funding
from the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation. Special Olympics Montana
is funded entirely by the generosity of businesses, organizations,
and individuals like you. Special Olympics Montana is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization. Your contributions may be tax deductible.
